God never intended us to be lone rangers. We were made to need one another and His desire is for us to fellowship in a community of believers… a smaller group within the bigger church. His Word tells us in Hebrews 10:24-25: "Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together..."

Celebrate the joys of life and serve one another during the difficult times. Many Small Group members will attest that joining a Small Group was one of the most significant steps they took in their walk with the Lord.

Women's Ministry Small Groups

Women’s Ministry at DRCC has partnered with Waterlilyz, a multi-denominational organization, which offers Small Groups, called Lilypadz for women from around the region, building relationships with women from a variety of local churches. Click on Lilypadz to find one in your area. We meet at accessible local venues like cafes.

This women’s bible study class meets weekly at DRCC during the school year, offering both morning and evening sessions. Sister 2 Sister is a great way to get to know women of all ages, experience mentorship and build friendships, while pouring over thoughtfully chosen, biblically-based curriculum. Though considered a class, a portion of our time together includes small group discussion.

Check out our upcoming class offerings for the Fall.

Considered by some to be the traditional Small Group, our in-home groups are facilitated by DRCC leaders and meet in homes. These gatherings typically include Bible study, discussion, prayer and a time of relaxed fellowship. New groups welcome!

Men's Ministry Small Groups INQUIRE

Men’s Ministry at DRCC has partnered with Waterboyz, a multi-denominational organization, which offers Small Groups called 10 Man Tables for men from around the region, building relationships with men from a variety of local churches. Click on 10 Man Tables to find one in your area. We typically meet at accessible local venues like restaurants.

Co-Ed Sports INQUIRE

The Men's Ministry sponsors various programs throughout the year that include sports leagues, outings, and open gym activities for men and women. We recognize that sport activities can be a powerful relational tool. Currently, we offer spring and summer league softball, winter basketball, spring and fall golf outings, fall volleyball, and winter bowling outings.

Mixed Groups are for men and women and typically combine Bible Study with fellowship and prayer time at each gathering.

Young Adults Small Groups

For single or married young adults age 18 to 30, who are college or career-focused, our Small Groups are designed for you to meet people and dig into God’s Word. We gather weekly in homes in the Frederick, Damascus, and Mt. Airy regions.

Youth Small Groups

AlienNation, our weekly youth program, runs September through May and includes small groups. After games and worship, each student joins a small group of students in discussing the evening’s topic along with an adult volunteer. High School Alien Nation is held on Wednesdays from 7- 8:30 pm. Middle School Alien Nation is held on Sunday from 6- 7:30 pm.

We belong to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. And He invites us to belong to a community of faith. Whether a lifetime Christian, a new believer or just curious about the faith, you are welcome here at Damascus Road Community Church. Understand what we believe, who makes up our leadership team and the pathway to membership.

In a larger church it can be a challenge to feel personally connected. Allow us to help you. Whether searching for calendar information, a larger event in which to get a better taste of DRCC, a smaller group to be a part of, or personal care for the struggles and celebrations of life… this is a good place to start.

Grow in biblical knowledge and spiritual wisdom. Know what you believe and how to apply it to your everyday life. Sink deep roots into God’s Word through our ministries, classes or sermon library resources, and be better equipped to give an answer for your faith, discern truth and weather the storms of life.

As Christ gave his life for us, so also we give back to our local community of faith a portion of our time, talent and treasure. In so doing we release the grip of selfishness and idolatry in our lives. And our brothers and sisters receive the encouragement they need to carry on.

Beyond our home, school and workplace, Damascus Road Community Church offers opportunities to go near and far in sharing the Good News of Christ through tangible acts of service. Our missions’ teams partner with established churches and pastors to spread the Gospel, nurture long-term relationships and build sustainable solutions to address needs for today and into the future.
